- Presentazione: he Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is a mystery novel written by Mark Haddon, which was published in 2003. The story is narrated in first person by Christopher, the main character; he’s a 15- year- old boy that has Asperger's syndrome, a form of autism. His mum died, so he lives with his dad Ed in Swindon, England. The story starts when he discovers the dead body of his neighbour’s dog, Wellington. Therefore, Christopher decides to investigate the dog's death and to record his experiences in a book. But he will find out things about his mother that will leave him shocked….
- Perchè dovresti leggerlo?: I liked this book, it’s very easy to read and well written; also the story teaches you a lot of things. You can understand how a person with autism sees life, how everyday things are different and difficult. You get attached to Christopher and as you read you learn to understand him better. Still today, many people with autism are often misunderstood, and discriminated against by others. It’s an inspiring story that I think everyone should read once in their life.
